This is the time of year when I start scheduling trips across Latin America, after a long summer “siesta”, so it helps to know when the main trade shows for the key industries we cover take place. That’s why we’ve put together a list of 100 trade shows in Latin America, excluding Mexico and Brazil (because they would take over the list, you know!) that we’d like to share with you.
What are trade shows still good for, specifically in Latin America?
– For sussing out your competition
– For identifying and evaluating potential distributors
– To gather precious market intelligence
– For PR exposure and sector networking
Walking the show will also help you assess whether at some point you might consider exhibiting at a particular show, or supporting your distributor in doing so.
A few words of advice regarding trade shows in Latin America:
– Even though there are some “proper” TRADE shows in Latin America, many are still a combination of trade and consumer shows
– Some are organised two years in advance, some confirm dates literally 10-15 weeks in advance
– Some have a regional appeal, but many are very localised (at country or even state/province level)
